Click publish around the web

I really thought I would be able to write something every day for thirty days and then I wrote only two posts. One about the Click Publish initiative and one about Sudoku. I won’t lie, I felt really bad about it.

Truth is, I could write about lots of topics. One year as a team lead? Check! Getting COVID? Check! Finding a good time and task management system? I could write about that. Being a woman in a male-dominated field? Well, that is basically my job description

I could speak in front of an audience and engage with it for hours but blogging is a different beast.

Imagine my surprise when I realized that since September 1st I wrote eight blog posts!

So here they are, in case you are interested in reading about some of the above-mentioned topics.

From the WordPress Core Team Blog

Goodbye Andrea

The Yoast WordPress Core team gets ready to work on WP 5.9 after the summer holidays

And then we start some serious planning for Q4 of 2021 (HOW IS IT Q4?)

Yoast hosts its first hybrid Contributor Day with Yoasters and guests

And just like that, WP 5.9 goes into Feature Freeze mode

Finally, I encourage you to become a non-technical contributor to WP Core. For real.

I also ranted hard on my other blog

Spoiler alert: lots of cables

And we are all responsible for making the world and the web more accessible

What’s next?

As much as I want to believe I will write 30 posts in the next 30 days, I know it’s not going to happen.

For starters, I write A LOT for my job. The majority of our communication is written and performance review season is upon us.

Secondly, I need a specific mood to write, so it’s easier for me to write 4 posts in a day than 1 a day for thirty days.

And finally, I am working on setting other habits, which are directly related to my health, so writing will have to wait its turn.

If there is a topic you are interested to read about though, don’t be shy and ping me! Between one meditation session and one Zoom call, I would love to write something useful for you!
